Jan. 25, 2011 - Invitations went out this week to the event. So far, we've invited 71 players meaning there's still time to earn your invitation. League titles and state championships aren't the only thing on the line in February and March. We'll be out making sure our roster includes the best of the best and the only way to earn and invitation is to play your way into one.

Over 15 percent of the entire ACC, by next fall, will have played in the Carolina Challenge so the scope of the event is unmatched anywhere in the country. For one day, the eyes of the entire basketball nation will be on North Carolina. This is your day! Last year, Tyler Lewis (2012) captivated the hearts and eyes of those in attendance. Quincy Miller dominated on the court and continued to raise the bar for his 2011 classmates. Terry Whisnant was the best shooter at the event and weeks later, the Florida State Seminoles offered him a scholarship! MORE HERE 

The Carolina Challenge, in its sixth year, is the signature event for the state of North Carolina's top prospects. The only one-day, statewide event of its kind in the United States, the Challenge brings together the state's elite prospects under one room for a day of competition with a slant on life skills, academics and college preparation.

Since 2007, the event has seen five McDonald's All-Americans, five Jordan Brand participants and one No. 1 NBA DRAFT pick participant in camp. Before John Wall rocked the University of Kentucky and NBA, he played twice at the Carolina Challenge. In addition to Wall, the entire Plumlee Family -- Miles, Mason and Marshall -- participated in the first four events. Last year alone, 15 players signed with BCS-level programs.

Invitations to the event are hard to come by and only 80 players attend each year making the Carolina Challenge the place to be for the state's best. This year we've changed locations and the event moved to picturesque Ravenscroft School in Raleigh.
